He started his studies in 1998 at the Provincial Ballet School '' Alejo Carpentier '' of Havana, concluding them at the National School of Ballet in 2006, when he joined the National Ballet of Cuba, under the artistic-technical direction of the prima ballerina absoluta Alicia Alonso.

During these years he has integrated the cast of several stagings of the Ballet both in Cuba and abroad, whose repertoire includes works of the great romantic-classical tradition, neo-classic, contemporary. He has worked with national and international choreographers, such as Alicia Alonso, Alberto Mendez, Gustavo Herrera, Goyo Montero [Esp], RamonOller [Esp], Jean Grand Maitre [Can], Jean Kelly [USA], Anabel Lopez [Bel], among others.In addition to their participation in the editions of the International Ballet Festival of Havana, has dabbled in different dance genres such as Spanish dances, Cuban rhythms, Caribbean rhythms; and musicals of different styles, represented in squares, theaters and tourist recreation centers. Important to highlight as an active professional dancer, his work as a teacher in both the National Ballet School and the National Ballet of Cuba. She started her classical dance studies at Estudio Isadora in 1999 under the direction of Berta Vallrivera until 2008. In 2006 she received a scholarship to study the SABSchool of American Ballet in New York and in 2007 at the Magnificant Ballet in Mississippi His training is extended to dance centers in Barcelona such as Eulalia Blasi, Company and Company, David Campos Classical Dance School and the Dance Center of Catalonia.

 

After completing the Humanistic Baccalaureate at the Garbí School in 2012 she completed the last course of the Higher Dance Studies at the Royal Mariemma Professional Dance Conservatory. She has participated in various shows as a professional dancer, including: "Pentagana", children's show on good nutrition in the Children's Hall and other theaters in Catalonia. Also, different operas at the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona such as Aida, Cossi fan tutte, Turandot Muerte in Venice and Carmen. Likewise, she has been a dancer in different shows produced by Password Productions and has been invited to the opening show of the European Athletics Championships 2011 in Montjuic.

 

In 2012 she participated as a dancer, in the assembly and staging of Giselle with the dance company of David Campos. Elna Bonet has been a solo dancer in the charity show created especially for the TV3 marathon in favor of brain disease research made in the Church of the Pi in 2013. Currently, she is studying Psychology at the University of Barcelona and works as a dance teacher at BDC.

MIRIAM BARBOSA

Miriam Barbosa is a member of the Martha Graham Dance Company and founded the South Carolina Contemporary Dance Company. She has an MFA from the University of Fine Arts of Sao Paulo / Brazil, where she received her Classical Ballet Training. In 1991, she joined the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and was awarded a scholarship as Demonstrator Technician. Ms. Barbosa performed with the Martha Graham American Touring Ensemble from 1993 to 1996, was invited to join the Martha Graham Dance Company for her "City Center Seasons" of the City in New York and the Festival of Spoleto, Italy (1993 -1996). After working as a guest artist in Spain and Brazil in 1996 and 1997, she returned to New York to dance with the Martha Graham Dance Company from 1998 to 2001. Since 1993, Ms. Barbosa taught the Graham technique and choreographed as a guest artist throughout Europe, South America and the United States. Richard D'Alton began his teaching career in 2004, and his success as an internationally recognized teacher is evident through the praise of his dancers. D'Alton has been a faculty member of the Houston Metropolitan Dance Company and an adjunct faculty member of the San Jacinto College of the University of Houston.
